Dr. Bob Martin - Sundays - 8:00am to
9:00am
Dr. Bob Martin believes that information and
education are the keys to good health, and takes every opportunity to share his
knowledge throughout the United States and Canada.
Moab's only commercial FM radio station, KCYN 97.1
Canyon Country, has filled the airwaves of Southeast Utah, for over a
decade. On the air since September 23, 1998,
the station's 24-hour, 29,000 watt signal, transmits a country music format from
high atop the La Sal Mountains. The signal transmits throughout Canyonlands and
Arches national parks, Dead Horse Point and Glen Canyon state parks. The radio
signal reaches approximately 7,000 square miles and can be heard in Price, Green
River, Castle Valley, Castle Dale, Monticello, parts of Lake Powell, parts of
Colorado and other areas (Hanksville, Torrey) along the I-70 highway from Green
River to Salina.
KCYN's coverage of I-70, and the areas state parks,
enables us to also service the large tourist population of more than 1,000,000
people annually. Visitors come from all over the world each year for the red rock
scenery, renowned hiking and biking trails, Colorado River rafting, jeeping,
hunting, and mountaineering. Moab's business community continues to grow offering
numerous hotels, restaurants, museums, art galleries, festivals, a wineries, and
golf course.
KCYN airs local and regional news with Fox Radio
News, live at the top of the hour. Our station is a major provider of
entertainment, news, public affairs programming, accurate weather and storm/flood
reports. Country format is the most popular with locals as well as tourists,
ensuring that your advertising dollars will be successfully spent in this
market.
Every week day, KCYN also airs a 2 hour show - Canyon
Country Adventure Sports Updates, an all-information show on Moab area recreation
and tourism events. It is broadcast daily from 7AM to 9AM on KCYN 97.1 FM. The
concept is to create the ultimate source for daily information on the conditions of
rivers and trails for the visitors and active residents in Canyon Country. The
river and trail conditions along with helpful tips are provided by several
sponsors. In addition, the program contains tips, information and updates from the
National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management, National Forest Service and Utah
State Parks, and others regarding their facilities and services in our listening
area. The radio show is broadcast in all of Canyon Country on 97.1 (Grand County) and 105.5 (San Juan County)
